SoftWear Program

A mission dedicated to clothing those in need.

273,600 people sought help from homelessness agencies between 2022-23 in Australia. Of that, around 47% of these people were experiencing homelessness. That's 1 in 95 humans living in this country that are doing it pretty fu*k'n tough. And these are just the stats that are reported.

When we learned these numbers, we realized that while we have a roof over our heads and can afford new clothes for ourselves, we could and should be doing something to help out.

That's why for every sale made through us at Perch, 10% of your total purchase price goes directly towards creating brand new clothing for those in need.

How does it work? Your purchase allows us to produce new clothing, which we then donate through our partners - 'Mornington Community Support Centre' and 'Southern Peninsula Community Support.' They ensure the clothing reaches those who need it most.

Why is this our approach? Because there’s nothing like the feeling of getting brand new clothing. It's why we do what we do. While many organizations focus on upcycling and donating second-hand clothing which is absolutely necessary, we want to take it a step further. The aim to deliver new clothing to those in need is because we believe that experience can be incredibly empowering. And when individuals start to feel empowerment and importance, it brings them one step closer to integration back into 'society'.

More information will be available shortly. Stick around.
